The constant growth of the demand for functional, durable and cost-effective products has stimulated research in the field of material combination in 3D printing using the FDM method. In this work, we investigated the various properties of the most commonly used materials, such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU and nylon. Based on this, we selected several material combinations that promise good mutual bonding. Using appropriate printing settings, we printed samples and conducted experimental tests focused on the quality of the joint between the materials. Bending tests showed that the success of the combination strongly depends on the temperature compatibility and adhesive properties of the materials. By analyzing the results, we found combinations that would be suitable for manufacturing for various products, as well as for further research. The work contributes to the development of flexible products and opens up possibilities for more efficient use of FDM technology in industry.
