Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava področje digitalne ilustracije v kontekstu slovenske ljudske pravljice in njenega prenosa v tiho slikanico. Osrednji teoretični del vključuje pregled likovnega jezika, likovnih prvin, spremenljivk, prostorskih ključev, kompozicije, tipografije in formata. V analitičnem delu sta primerjani dve ilustrirani izdaji slovenske ljudske pravljice Fižolček, ogelček in slamica, kjer so predstavljene razlike v likovni interpretaciji. Praktični del temelji na ustvarjanju lastne tihe slikanice, zasnovane v digitalnem in fizičnem formatu, ki pripoveduje zgodbo izključno skozi likovna sredstva. Delo povezuje teorijo, analizo in praktično izvedbo ter izpostavlja pomen vizualne pismenosti v sodobni mladinski književnosti.

Title:Digital illustration of a Slovenian folktale
Abstract:
This thesis explores digital illustration in connection with a Slovenian folk tale and its adaptation into a wordless picture book. The theoretical part presents the basic features of illustration, picture books for children, and folk tales, with a special focus on stories told without text. It also discusses how image and text work together and the role of visual storytelling in children's literature. The main theoretical section covers the basics of visual language, including visual elements, variables, spatial techniques, composition, typography, and book format. The analytical part compares two illustrated versions of the folk tale Fižolček, ogelček in slamica, showing differences in visual style and interpretation. The practical part includes the creation of an original wordless picture book, made in both digital and physical form, where the whole story is told only through images. The thesis connects theory, analysis, and creative work, and highlights the importance of visual understanding in modern children's books.
