Abstract
Generativni modeli so v zadnjem desetletju postali eno izmed najpomembnejših področij umetne inteligence in računalniškega vida. Med najuspešnejšimi izstopajo generativne nasprotniške mreže in difuzijski modeli. V tej diplomski nalogi smo predstavili osnovne principe delovanja obeh metod, analizirali njihove prednosti in slabosti ter jih praktično primerjali med seboj. Cilj je zagotoviti celovit pregled njunega delovanja ter oceniti, katera metoda je bolj uporabna za določene naloge.

Title:Overview and comparison of GANs and diffusion models
Abstract:
Generative models have, over the past decade, become one of the most important areas of artificial intelligence and computer vision. Among the most successful approaches, generative adversarial networks and diffusion models stand out. In this thesis, we presented the fundamental principles of both methods, analyzed their advantages and disadvantages, and practically compared them with each other. The goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of their functioning and to assess which method is more suitable for specific tasks.
