Abstract
V okviru zaključne naloge smo zasnovali, izdelali in optimizirali dvo-prostorski manipulator (2DOF) za digitalne simulatorje. Pri tem smo uporabili izključno komercialno dostopne (angl. off-the-shelf) komponente ter izdelek zasnovali tako, da je cenovno optimiziran in konkurenčen obstoječim izdelkom na trgu. Programski del projekta, ki zajema branje in obdelavo podatkov iz digitalnega simulatorja ter komunikacijo med računalnikom in manipulatorjem, smo samostojno razvili in implementirali v programskih jezikih Python in C++ ter delno tudi v jeziku Lua. Tak pristop nam je omogočil dobro poznavanje sistema, kar je bistveno pripomoglo k njegovi optimizaciji, tako z vidika hitrosti prenosa podatkov kot tudi natančnosti gibanja manipulatorja.

Title:Design and testing of a two-degree-of-freedom manipulator for digital simulators
Abstract:
As part of the undergraduate thesis, we designed, built, and optimized a two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) manipulator intended for use with digital simulators. In its construction we relied exclusively on commercially available off-the-shelf components, and the device was conceived to be both cost-optimized and competitive with existing products on the market. The software portion of the project, which includes data acquisition and processing from the digital simulator as well as communication between the computer and the manipulator, was independently developed and implemented by us in Python and C++, and partially in Lua. This comprehensive approach provided in-depth system knowledge and significantly improved both speed and motion accuracy of the manipulator.
