Abstract
Raziskovalni podatki so del doktorske disertacije z naslovom »Vpliv raziskovalno usmerjenega poučevanja na razvoj raziskovalne kompetence prihodnjih učiteljev«. Disertacija se osredotoča na pojem raziskovalne kompetence, ki je ključen za zagotavljanje kakovostne pedagoške prakse, a ga institucije, ki izobražujejo prihodnje učitelje konceptualizirajo in razvijajo zelo neenotno. V literaturi obstaja vrsta definicij in merskih pristopov, vendar primanjkuje jasne ločnice med zaznano (študenti sami poročajo o svojem znanju, spretnostih in odnosu) in dejansko raziskovalno kompetenco (objektivno izkazane raziskovalne zmožnosti), obenem pa ni empirično preverjenega modela, kako nanju vpliva raziskovalno usmerjeno poučevanje. Cilj disertacije je bil ponuditi celovit okvir za razumevanje, merjenje in spodbujanje obeh dimenzij raziskovalne kompetence v pedagoških programih. Empirična raziskava oziroma raziskovalni podatki so omogočili analizo stanja razvoja raziskovalnih kompetenc prihodnjih učiteljev vpisanih v magistrske programe izobraževanje prihodnjih učiteljev v Sloveniji, analizo stanja raziskovalno usmerjenega poučevanja visokošolskih ustanov ter analizo vpliva raziskovalno usmerjenega poučevanja na zaznane in dejanske raziskovalne kompetence prihodnjih učiteljev vpisanih na magistrski program "Poučevanje" na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani, prav tako pa validacijo razvitih lestvic in preverjanje zastavljenih raziskovalnih vprašanj.

Title:
The effect of research-based teaching on the development of research competence of pre-service teachers : research data underlying the doctoral dissertation
Abstract:
The data set is part of a dissertation entitled “The Impact of Research-Based Teaching on the Development of Pre-Service Teachers’ Research Competence.” The dissertation addresses the concept of research competence, which is critical to ensuring high-quality pedagogical practice. Still, it is conceptualised and developed very inconsistently by the institutions that train future teachers. The literature offers a variety of definitions and approaches to measurement. Still, it lacks a clear distinction between perceived research competence (students’ self-assessments of their knowledge, skills, and attitudes) and actual research competence (objectively demonstrated research abilities). Furthermore, there is no empirically tested model of how research-based teaching influences both dimensions. The dissertation aimed to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding, measuring, and promoting both dimensions of research competence in teacher education. The empirical study and research data enabled an analysis of the state of development of pre-service teachers’ research competences enrolled in Master’s programmes of pre-service teacher education in Slovenia, an investigation of the extent of research-based teaching in higher education and an assessment of the impact of research-based teaching on pre-service teachers' perceived and actual research competences of pre-service teachers enrolled in the Master’s programme Teaching at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, as well as a validation of the developed scales and testing of the proposed research questions.
