In the thesis, we discussed the entire process of manufacturing a matrix plate for a polymer injection molding tool. At the beginning, we covered the theoretical basics of CAD, CAM, NC programming and milling strategies. This was followed by the preparation of programs for rough, semi-fine and fine machining by comparing different milling strategies. Simulations were performed in the CAM environment and executed on a CNC machine with dimensional control. We found that the deviations between simulations and actual times were greatest in rapid movements, and in certain strategies, also in machining movements. All manufactured surfaces were within the prescribed tolerances.
