Abstract
Magistrsko delo raziskuje kadrovski menedžment v malih podjetjih s poudarkom na biotehnološki in informacijski industriji v Sloveniji. Obravnava kadrovske modele in teoretične okvire s poudarkom na zaposlovanju, usposabljanju in zadžanju zaposlenih s specializiranimi znanji. Poudarja, s kakšnimi izzivi se v malih podjetjih soočajo pri upravljanju z visoko strokovnim osebjem in kako globalni kadrovski trendi vplivajo na slovenska podjetja. V empiričnem delu je vključena študija primera petih podjetij, ki z anketo preučuje kadrovske postopke v treh fazah: pred zaposlitvijo, razvoj in dolgoročno ohranjanje znanja. Študija preučuje, kako se mala podjetja spopadajo s pomanjkanjem usposbljenih delavcev, vzpostavljajo strateška zavezništva ter privabljajo in zadržujejo nadarjene zaposlene. Obravnava tudi sprejemanje tujih kadrovskih postopkov in organizacijsko avtonomijo. Cilj je prispevati tako k akademskemu razumevanju kot tudi k uporabi v praksi, saj poudarja pomen učinkovitih kadrovskih praks za upravljanje ljudi in ponuja vpogled v to, kako lahko mala podjetja globalne modele prilagodijo lokalnim razmeram

Title:Talent management challenges in small companies
Abstract:
The master thesis investigates human resource management in small companies with a focus on the biotechnology and information industry in Slovenia. It discusses HR models and theoretical frameworks with a focus on recruitment, training and retention of employees with specialized skills. It highlights the challenges in managing highly skilled staff in small companies and the impact of global human resource developments on Slovenian companies. The empirical part includes a case study of five companies, which examines talent management processes in three phases by means of a survey: pre-employment, development and long-term retention of knowledge. The study examines how small business are coping with skills shortages, building strategic alliances and attracting and retaining talent. It also looks at the adoption of foreign human resource practices and organisational autonomy. It aims to contribute to both academic understanding and real-word application by highlighting the importance of effective personnel practices for people management and offering insights into how small businesses can adapt global models to local contexts.
