Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava izdelavo prenosne in cenovno dostopne naprave za učenje ter eksperimentiranje na področju vodenja sistemov. Na osnovi odprtokodnega projekta AutomationShield je bila izdelana naprava FloatShield, ki omogoča regulacijo višine žogice v cevi s pomočjo ventilatorja in senzorja. V nalogi so predstavljeni postopki načrtovanja, izdelave in testiranja naprave, skupaj z izzivi ter rešitvami, ki so se pojavile med razvojem. Zaključek vsebuje oceno doseženih rezultatov in predloge za nadaljnje izboljšave.

Title:Development of a low-cost device for demonstrating control algorithms
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the manufacturing of a portable and cost-effective device intended for learning and experimentation in the field of control systems. Based on the open-source AutomationShield project, a FloatShield device was developed, enabling the regulation of a ball's height in a vertical tube using a fan and a distance sensor. The thesis presents the design, construction, and testing processes of the device, along with the challenges encountered and the implemented solutions. The conclusion provides an evaluation of the achieved results and suggestions for future improvements.
