This master's dissertation explores the improvement of agile processes in large-scale
software development organizations, with a particular focus on enhancing coordination
among a growing number of development teams. While agile methodologies were
originally designed for smaller teams, their increasing adoption by larger organizations
introduces new challenges, particularly in communication and team
coordination. This study thoroughly analyzes the current agile practices within a
selected company, identifying key issues and proposing enhancements for more
effective cross-team collaboration.
The proposed solutions include regular coordination meetings, improved management
of shared task lists, enhanced integration and testing processes between teams, and a
stronger emphasis on knowledge and experience sharing. The research is grounded
in a case study, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods such as
interviews, surveys, and focus groups. The findings of this dissertation oEer valuable
insights into optimizing agile methodologies in complex organizational environments
and provide practical guidance for companies facing similar challenges in agile
software development.
