For the period 1961 - 2023, we analyzed the reference evapotranspiration (ET0) at the annual level, for the growing season (April - September), for the summer (June-August) for 10 meteorological stations: Bilje, Celje,Črnomelj, Lendava, Ljubljana, Maribor, Murska Sobota, Novo Mesto, Portoro~, Slovenj Gradec. The data comes from the archives of the Environment Agency of the Republic of Slovenia. For all periods and stations, we have calculated the average, maximum, minimum, variation range and comparison of the two periods P1 (1961 - 1990) and P2 (1991 - 2023). There are large differences in evapotranspiration between the stations and years considered. In recent years, the ET0 values were higher than in the initial period (P1). A higher average value of evapotranspiration is observed in the Gorizia Coast region (Bilje pri Novi Gorici and Portorož). The maximum ET0 at all stations is typical for the summer months (Jun-Jul-Aug). There are large differences in the magnitude of evapotranspiration between years and stations, the largest range in the growing season is between Portorož and Slovenj Gradec, the average difference is 213 mm. The maximum ET0 values at all stations are typical for the summer months (June-July-Aug), the July reference evapotranspiration is the highest at all stations and ranges from 122 mm (Slovenj Gradec) to 169 mm (Portorož). In the last period (1991 - 2023), the ET0 values are higher than in the initial period (1961 - 1990). The largest difference is at the Bilje station, where the average reference evapotranspiration during the vegetation period is 124 mm higher in the most recent period.
