In diploma thesis, we looked at the challenges that people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) face in organizing their everyday lives. ADHD affects the ability to concentrate, organise and manage time. Understanding these influences and finding effective ways to overcome the challenges is crucial to improving the quality of life of people with this disorder.
In the research, we developed a design-function prototype of a mobile application that can contribute to better time management for these individuals. We analysed competing applications for time management, conducted a survey on the needs and wishes of the users, determined the target group and created two characteristic user personas. Based on this, we designed the information architecture of the new application, created wireframes of the individual pages of the application, designed the visual appearance of the application and created a design-function prototype of the application in the Figma platform. We tested the user experience with ten users. The results showed that by developing a new user-friendly application, we were able to contribute to time management support, including daily task planning, prioritisation and calendar management.
We have achieved our goal – we have created an intuitive user interface that makes it easy for people with ADHD to use the application. With clear navigation, an attractive design and a user-friendly experience, we wanted to make organisation and time management easier and increase the independence and success of people with this disorder.
