Within the company, we examined the entire process of manufacturing an electricity meter and recorded the data within a VSM diagram. Through this method, we presented the current state and focused on critical points within the production process. Based on lean methods, we adressed the critical points and presented a revised VSM diagram of the future state. Due to excessive inventory along the production line, we also proposed a solution to reduce inventory, which will enable the company to use the additional space for increasing production capacity and profitability.
