Abstract
Magistrsko delo raziskuje možnosti povezovanja pouka zgodovine z domoznansko zbirko Knjižnice Domžale. Domoznanstvo je pomemben del narodne zgodovine in kulture, ki se ga v osnovni šoli pri pouku zgodovine učenci dotikajo skozi teme lokalne zgodovine. Lokalna zgodovina prispeva k razvoju identitete in narodne pripadnosti, knjižnice pa s svojo osnovno dejavnostjo k temu v veliki meri prispevajo, zato so možnosti povezovanja pouka z lokalno knjižnico zelo dragocene. Z učitelji zgodovine smo izvedli intervju in ugotovili, da menijo, da je lokalna zgodovina pomembna za razvoj identitete in pripadnosti ter da jo vključujejo v pouk. Prek vprašalnika, ki so ga izpolnjevali učenci 6. razreda, smo ugotovili, da tudi učenci menijo, da je poznavanje lokalne zgodovine pomembno. V okviru magistrskega dela smo pripravili predloge za poučevanje lokalne zgodovine s pomočjo gradiv, ki so dostopna v lokalni knjižnici, in v okviru kulturnega dneva izvedli učno uro v knjižnici ter s tem dokazali, da obstajajo dobre možnosti za sodelovanje med osnovno šolo in lokalno splošno knjižnico.

Title:
The possibilities of connecting learning history in elementary school with the local studies department of Domžale library
Abstract:
The master's thesis explores the possibilities of connecting elementary school history lessons with the Local studies department of Domžale Library. Local history is an important part of national history and culture. Local history contributes to the development of identity and national affiliation. Libraries contribute to this with their primary activities, making the possibilities of connecting history lessons with the local history very valuable. We conducted interviews with history teachers and found that they believe local history is important for development of identity and affiliation and that they include it in their teaching. Through a questionnaire completed by 6th grade students, we discovered, that the students also know and believe that understanding local history is important. As part of master's thesis we prepared proposals for teaching local history using materials available in the local library and conducted a lesson in the library as part of cultural day. This proved that there are good opportunities for cooperation between the elementary school and the local public library.
