Vpliv trgovine z drogami na gospodarstvo južnoameriških držav

Južna Amerika je eno izmed najbolj zanimivih območij za pridelavo in distribucijo prepovedanih drog na svetu. Trgovina z drogo od druge polovice 19. stoletja naprej v mnogih pogledih kroji usodo držav, saj je ukoreninjena v številne pore družbe. Diplomsko delo raziskuje kompleksno in večdimenzionalno problematiko trgovine z drogami v Južni Ameriki, pri čemer se osredotoča na njene gospodarske, politične in družbene posledice. V njem so analizirani tudi mednarodni poskusi za omejevanje trgovine z drogami, vključno z vojaškimi in gospodarskimi ukrepi, ter njihova učinkovitost.

Abstract

South America is a key hotspot for the production and distribution of illegal drugs, with drug trafficking significantly shaping the fate of its countries since the late 19th century. This issue is deeply entrenched in the social, economic, and political fabric of the region. This dipolma thesis explores the complex and multidimensional problem of drug trafficking in South America, focusing on its economic, political, and social consequences. It also examines international efforts to restrict and eradicate drug trafficking, including military and economic measures, and assesses their effectiveness.
