In the Master's thesis Integrating different taxonomies of learning objectives into geography and history lessons in elementary school, we investigated the possibilities of using different taxonomies of learning objectives in geography and/or history lessons in elementary school. There are several different taxonomies of learning objectives (e.g. Bloom's, Marzano's, SOLO) that help teachers to plan lessons, assess knowledge and achieve specific learning outcomes for students. Therefore, learning objectives from the elementary school curricula for geography and history were analysed in terms of their placement in the different levels of the revised Bloom's and SOLO taxonomies. Based on this analysis, we have developed a set of learning activities that teachers can use during lessons to ensure that pupils reach the appropriate levels of knowledge at a given taxonomy level.
