Diploma work is about the use or non-use of digital technologies and digital services among the elderly and a critical assessment of the digital divide during the Covid-19 pandemic. The goal of the assignment is the analysis of completed researches that examined the dimension of digitalization during the pandemic and the problem of inequality of the elderly in the use of ICT. Through secondary data analysis and with the use of method of comparative analysis, I demonstrated that the Covid-19 pandemic, by moving public and social life online, affected mainly the weaker part of society- the elderly. The experience of the pandemic pushed the elderly into an unenviable position, as many services that were suddenly moved online did not have an alternative solution. The sudden digitalization of services during the pandemic caused great stress and distress to the elderly and those unskilled in the use of digital technologies. Knowledge and use of information and communication technology have become key skills for using public services during the pandemic
