In this thesis, we tested the smart meter IE.7-TT1-H11 from Iskraemeco using the RTDS simulator, which enables real-time simulation of voltage events. The aim of the thesis was to examine the performance of the meter under different voltage events and assess its accuracy in detecting voltage deviations, such as voltage dips, swells, and power outages. The meter was tested across various scenarios, including short circuits on individual phases and on all phases simultaneously. The results showed that the meter reliably detects voltage events, triggers appropriate alarms, and correctly records events, confirming its effectiveness in enhancing the stability of power systems. The tests confirmed that the meter is accurate and reliable and capable of detecting voltage events in complex multi-phase scenarios, which is crucial for the efficient management of electrical power systems.
