Abstract
Pomen in delovanje nikotinamida mononukleotida (NMN) je v človeškem telesu dobro poznan. Raven NMN v nekaterih tkivih povezujejo s staranjem in številnimi boleznimi, zato so se začele raziskave usmerjene v uravnavanje koncentracije NAD$^+$. Kvantifikacijo sem naredila s pomočjo tekočinske kromatografije visoke ločljivosti (HPLC) in tehniko ustrezno validirala z določitvijo ponovljivosti in linearnosti.

Title:Determination nicotinamide mononucleotid content in liposomal food supplements
Abstract:
The importance and action of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) in the human body is well known. NMN levels in some tissues have been linked to ageing and a number of diseases, and research has begun to focus on regulating NAD$^+$ levels. One option is supplementation with NAD$^+$ precursors such as nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), which has attracted much attention in the last decade. It is often used as a food supplement and has become very profitable on the world market. The forms of supplements vary, but the liposomal form is preferred to the traditional ones due to its more efficient absorption. In my thesis I analysed NMN encapsulated in liposomes, which I prepared myself according to the Bangham method for ease of synthesis. The quantification was performed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and the technique was validated by determining the reproducibility of the linearity.
