The thesis addresses the landslide remediation in Ravne na Koroškem. Since the thesis was developed simultaneously with the remediation process, which included geotechnical investigations, the design of remediation measures and the execution of the landslide remediation, all phases of the project are presented in the thesis. The first part of the thesis describes the geological conditions at the site, including terrain morphology and hydrogeological conditions. The following sections present the results of field and laboratory investigations, which were used to define the soil characteristics in the landslide area. In the geotechnical laboratory at UL FGG, we determined the basic soil characteristics, such as natural moisture content, grain size distribution, liquid and plastic limits, and drained shear strength. The second part of the thesis includes a numerical stability analysis of the terrain in its original state, as well as the proposal and verification of the remediation measures. The remediation measures include the use of timber piles and wooden logs to ensure the stability of the upper part of the slope, a retaining structure constructed from stone masonry in concrete for stabilizing the lower part of the slope, and surface water drainage channels above the slope. Additionally, the remediation measures include the installation of coconut fiber mesh and the implementation of brushwood fascines on the slope. The results of the analyses confirm the ultimate limit state of slope in its initial state and the adequacy and sufficient safety level of the proposed measures to ensure slope stability.
