The aim of this work is to investigate and illustrate the function of a graphic printing press and
its influence on the quality of graphic prints. Since printing with a printing press significantly
affects the result of intaglio prints, the aim of the thesis is to find the best alternative for manual
intaglio printing and to integrate this process into artistic activities outside school.
The work is based on technological research and testing of different tools for manual printing
of intaglio graphics. We wanted to find out to what extent an alternative approach could
approximate the quality of prints made with a printing press. By analyzing the results obtained,
we found out that the tool used for printing must have a certain shape and size that allows a
good print on the printing surface. Finally, we included the printing process in the pedagogical
preparation for carrying out artistic activities in a cultural institution and the preparation for
artistic activities during a cultural day
