The introduction to the theoretical part of the thesis introduces the Cicido magazine, its origins and the individual sections of the magazine. In addition, the fairy tale and its main characteristics are defined. Special attention is paid to the essential components of musical fairy tales, where their definition and a brief description of their main characteristics are given.
In the second part of the theoretical review, the theories of Marjana Kobe and Max Lüthi are briefly presented, on the basis of which musical fairy tales and songs are analysed. Children's poetry and children's original and folk songs are then discussed. The final part of the theoretical review describes the collections of Slovenian folk songs and the collection 'Enci benci na kamenci'.
The empirical part of the thesis includes a quantitative analysis to determine which authors published the most musical fairy tales and songs in Cicido magazine between 1998 and 2023, and what is the ratio between original and folk songs. The analysis also identifies which composers and illustrators have illustrated and set to music the most songs and musical tales. The literary authors who have appeared most frequently are highlighted and their work and lives are briefly analysed.
A qualitative analysis of three musical fairy tales and poems published in Cicido magazine between 1998 and 2023 is also carried out. The theoretical basis for the analysis is the theories of Max Lüthi and Marjana Kobe. For the analysis, a table has been created in which, for each feature of Max Lüthi's and Marjana Kobe's theories, the following is given as a justification
The aim of the thesis is to find out which authors, composers and illustrators of musical fairy tales and poems were most frequently published in Cicido magazine and to analyse the selected poems on the basis of the theories of Max Lüthi and Marjana Kobe.
