Abstract
Cilj mojega diplomskega dela je bil raziskati vpliv strukture aktiviranih aromatov na potek alternativnega aciliranja po Friedel-Craftsu z acetanhidridom v TFA kot topilu. Pretvorbe so v večini primerov potekle uspešno in selektivno. Izkoristki segajo od slabih do zelo dobrih. Skoraj vse produkte mi je uspelo očistiti in karakterizirati. Nekatere izhodne spojine sem sintetiziral sam iz fenolov z reakcijami etiliranja in estrenja. Uspelo mi je pripraviti tudi fluorirane aromatske ketone z metodo, ki je v literaturi zaenkrat še nisem zasledil.

Title:
Synthesis of some ketones in a more environmentally friendly way
Abstract:
The aim of my thesis was to investigate how the structure of activated aromatics influences the alternative Friedel-Crafts acylation process with acetic anhydride in TFA as a solvent. The conversions were successful and selective in most cases. Yields ranged from poor to very good. Almost all products have been purified and characterised. Some of the starting compounds were synthesised by myself from phenols by ethylation and esterification reactions. I have also succeeded in preparing fluorinated aromatic ketones by a method not yet reported in the literature.
