In this thesis edible, conditionally edible, young edible, inedible and toxic fungi, which were picked in the administrative forestry unit Medvode in summerand autumn time 2010 are presented. The intention of the thesis was to research diversity of fungi in this area, the time of their growth, locations where they appear and to find out about their habitat and type of soil and their nutrition process. The fungi were determined on the basis of background knowledge, reference books and by the fungal taxonomists of Mycological Society Ljubljana. For each of the collected fungi exact location has been noted with the help of GPS receiver. All specimen of fungi were cut longtudinally and to dried at 30° C, and stored in mycological collection of Slovenian Forestry Institute. All the data from the field and pictures were put in Boletus informaticus electronic collection. During field research we collected 82 different species of fungi. All determined species belonged to the Basidiomycota phyllum, the class Agaricomycetes, 8 different orders and 24 different families. Predominant fungi were those from families Rusulaceae and Boletaceae.
