Although compressed air is commonly used in industry and everyday applications, it still presents challenges such as energy inefficiency and the risk of potential leaks or air contamination. This thesis covers the theoretical foundation necessary for designing an efficient compressed air system, including methods for air compression, storage, and distribution. Key components such as compressors, dryers, and filters, which play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of compressed air, are presented. The thesis analyzes the technical and regulatory requirements that compressed air systems must meet in a pharmaceutical environment and provides recommendations for optimizing these systems.
