Abstract
Glavni razlog za nizko učinkovitost strojev so pogoste menjave obdelovancev, saj je proizvodnja posamična. Vsaka menjava obdelovanca in nastavitev stroja predstavlja izgube, zato želimo ta čas čim bolj skrajšati.

Title:Increasing the efficiency of CNC milling machine
Abstract:
The tool shop of the LTH Castings company produces pressure tools. In the rough machining department, CNC machines, manufacturing the components of the pressure tool, achieve low efficiency. The main reason for the low efficiency of these machines is frequent replacements of workpieces, due to an individual production. Every workpiece replacement and machine setting lead to losses, so we want to reduce this time as much as possible. The efficiency was increased mainly by reducing machine downtime during workpiece replacement, which was achieved with the SMED and 5S methods. By introducing lean production methods, we were able to reduce machine downtime during the replacement by 26.2 % and increase the efficiency of the CNC milling machine by 11.1 %.
