The diploma thesis describes the process of automation of the production line in pharmacy,
namely membrane ultrafiltration. The purpose of such projects is to optimize the production
process to the extent that we can ensure smooth operation and high quality of the final product.
It is also crucial to be able to quickly and reliably identify and correct deficiencies and errors.
A problem can arise if the latest standards are not adhered to when upgrading such a system,
but it is also important that all documentation and software are regularly updated.
The task is divided into chapters, and the standards that must be adhered to in order to achieve
good production practice are described at the beginning. Next comes hardware and software,
which are important building blocks of any automated system and constantly communicate with
each other. The hardware lists the elements we encounter, and the software makes sure they
work properly. Next is the function specification, which is an important document that lists all
phases and operations, their operation, parameters, and list of elements used. Finally, there is
an installation qualification test and an operational qualification test, with which we validate
the system and prepare it for start-up.
