Abstract
Diplomsko delo predstavlja počitek in spanje v javnem in montessori vrtcu ter primerjavo med njima. Sestavljeno je iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljeni počitek in spanje ter njun pomen za telesni in psihofizični razvoj otroka. V nadaljevanju so predstavljeni kurikul in pedagoški koncept Marie Montessori ter počitek in spanje v javnem in montessori vrtcu, pri čemer so podrobneje opisani njun potek, prostor, namenjen počitku in spanju v vrtcu, ter različni načini umirjanja in sproščanja otrok. V empiričnem delu so s pomočjo intervjujev vzgojiteljic javnega in montessori vrtca ugotovljene razlike, ki se pojavljajo pri počitku in spanju v omenjenih vrtcih. Predstavljene so razlike, ki se pojavljajo pri poteku, prostoru, namenjenem počitku in spanju, ter uporabi umirjenih in sproščenih dejavnosti. Diplomsko delo je zaključeno s primerjavo ugotovitev razlik, ki se pojavljajo pri počitku in spanju v javnem in montessori vrtcu.

Title:Comparison of Rest and Sleep in Public and Montessori Kindergartens
Abstract:
The diploma presents rest and sleep in public and Montessori kindergartens and a comparison between them. It consists of theoretical and empirical work. The theoretical part presents rest and sleep and their importance for the child's physical and psychophysical development. Then, the Curriculum and pedagogical concept of Maria Montessori, and rest and sleep in public and Montessori kindergartens are presented. Additionally, their process, the space intended for rest and sleep in the kindergarten and different ways of calming and relaxing children are described in more detail. In the empirical work, with the help of interviews of teachers of public and Montessori kindergartens, the differences that occur in rest and sleep in the aforementioned kindergartens are identified. The differences in the process, the space intended for rest and sleep, and the use of calming and relaxing activities are presented. The diploma is concluded by comparing the differences that occur during rest and sleep in public and Montessori kindergartens.
