With quantum computing becoming increasingly popular, more companies and research institutes are starting to invest in quantum computers. Slovenia is collaborating with Italy's research institute Cineca to work on Pasqal's neutral atoms quantum computer. While normally quantum computers are programmed by expert mathematicians and physicists, there is an increasing need for computer engineers to help develop quantum algorithms. For this reason, we try to bring the topic of quantum computing closer to Slovenian engineers by showing the basics of quantum computation, neutral atom quantum computer architecture, and exploring algorithms on set architecture.
