In this bachelor thesis we analyse the copper laser welding and the influence of process
gases, specifically argon. Through welding images, surface and macro section analysis, we
have observed how argon affects the oxidation phenomenon, welding dynamics and welding
defects. Based on the results of the analysis, tables were developed in relation to welding
power, welding speed and process gas volume flow. In these tables we have determined the
stable regimes for copper laser welding with fiber laser.
