Abstract
Magistrska naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in praktičnega dela. Teoretični del predstavlja pregled potrošništva na splošno, njegov izvor, razvoj in vpliv na družbo. Potrošništvo pa je nepretrgoma povezano z nakupovalnimi središči. Magistrska naloga opiše centre, njihove tipologije, značilnosti ter probleme in rešitve, ki se pojavljajo v njih. Cilj naloge je prikazati, da potrošnja ni nujno samo denarna potrošnja, temveč so nakupovalna središča popolnoma opremljeni prostori, ki združujejo specializirane trgovine, eno ali več veleblagovnic, kjer se nahajajo storitvene dejavnosti, zabavne in kulturne vsebine, ki omogočajo sprostitev in druženje.

Consumerism and the issue of shopping centers, case study shoping center in Pula, Croatia
Abstract:
The master's thesis consists of theoretical and practical work. Theoretical part presents an overview of consumerism in general it's origin development and impact on society. Consumerism is inextricably linked to shopping centers. Master thesis describes the centers, describes their typologies, characteristics, problems and solutions that arise in them. The goal of the assignment is to show that consumption is not necessarily only monetary consumption, but shopping centers are fully equipped spaces that combine specialized stores one or more department stores where service activities are fun and cultural contents that allow relaxation and socializing.
