Abstract
Bližje slovenski recepciji so bili hrvaški in češki odzivi, kar potrjuje, da ob globalni knjižni ponudbi še zmeraj obstaja nacionalna, z literarnim predznanjem pogojena književna recepcija.

Abstract:
Analysis of responses to the author’s short story collections Menjave kož (1990) and Zakon želje (2000) in six translated editions (Spanish, American, Croatian, German, Czech and Hungarian) between the years 1997 and 2002 uncovers differences and affinities among various European and American literary expectations, along with the specifics of national reception. The same text was, in Spanish translation, a representative of an unknown national reality, while in English it was a representative of post-communist Eastern Europe. The Croatian and Czech reception were closer to Slovenian, which confirms that in the global supply of literature we still encounter a national literary reception, influenced by previously achieved literary knowledge.
