In this diploma thesis varieties of edible and conditionally edible fungi in the administrative forestry unit Žužemberk were researched. The goal of thesiswas to establish their diversity, time and location of growth in the area, to define (recognize) their growth habitat and their nutrition needs. Collected fungi were determined with the use of fungi reference books. Sampleswere dried at 30°C and are stored in the mycology collection of the Slovenian forestry institute. Data about the sample locations and growth time are stored in the Boletus informaticus data base. 43 different edible or conditionally edible fungi were picked, 4 belonged to the Ascomycotina subdivision and 39 to the Basidiomycotina subdivision.
