In the thesis paper the author showed the development of the forests on the level of the divisions in the Jelendol forest management unit since the year 1930. She compared data from the plans for six of the regulatory areas, beginning in 1930, 1959, 1968, 1980, 1990 and 2000. According to divisions sheanalyzed the development of the growing stock, tree species structure, growth, while the diameter structure was analyzed on the level of the whole unit. The growing stock was increasing in size in the period between 1930 and 1959, decreasing between 1959 and 1990, and began rising again in 1990. The percentage of broadleaves in the growing stock increased for 132 percent in the analyzed period. The reason for the increase lies in the different way of thinking and forest management. The percentage of the of the silver fir tree was decreasing constantly, and the percentage of the beech tree decreased for a couple of percent as well. The percentage of the Norway spruce tree, larch tree and other tree species increased. In the analyzed period, growth rate wasincreasing. In the period between 1930 and 2000 the diameter structure changed. An increase of the percentage of the A (10-30 cm) and C (more than 50cm) diameter differentiation classes, and a decrease of the B (30-50 cm) diameter differentiation class are evident.
