Due to the increasing number of overweight individuals and the fact that people consume insufficient amounts of fruits and vegetables, I designed a graphical user-centred interface of a mobile application that encourages users to consume a variety of fruits or vegetables on a daily basis. To support the change in dietary habits, I incorporated tasks that cultivate a positive mindset, further empowering the user on their journey towards healthy eating. The first, theoretical part of my thesis explores the broader context of mobile app development. This includes the evolution of mobile phones, the development of mobile applications, user research, usability, user experience, and user interfaces. In the second, practical part of my thesis, I go through the process of designing the application myself, starting from defining the target audience, choosing a name, sketching, designing a wireframe, user interface, and creating a prototype of the mobile application. The final section focuses on testing and making improvements to the application.
