Even though so many people wish to live in a different way in this capitalist world, with less
stress, less fear and insecurities, why does nothing ever happen that could lead towards a
significant change of the system which dictates our every day? This is one of the key
questions chosen from many that popped up in my head even before I started to attend
university. An idea for my degree grew out of this exact question because I found out the
answer to it during my studies and I wanted to introduce it in my bachelor thesis. We are also
going to research the social flow and its breaking in the capitalist system. Firstly, we will go
over the structure of our society which is determined in the context of capitalism within states.
Secondly, we will focus on a political and economic paradigm where we recognise
neoliberalism and democracy as two main concepts. We will shed some light on the concept
of alienation or as Holloway marks it fetishism and fetishisation. Then, we will include a
critique general. This will take us to the point of breaking of the social flow of doing. As
important factors, we will also mention ideology and freedom, and lastly, we will talk about
revolution, changing of the system, and alternatives to capitalism. In the last chapter, we will
take some time to think about theory and academy.
