Employee satisfaction is one of the most important factors of a successful company. The goal of all employers is for their employees to be satisfied in the working environment, because based on this, they achieve better results. It is important to perform regular employee satisfaction surveys and, based on the results, strive for continuous improvements of the working environment. Based on the increase in work from home, during the covid-19 epidemic, it made sense to consider the impact of this type of work on employees satisfaction. The purpose of the thesis was to determine the impact that work from home had on the satisfaction of employees in a selected public administration body, and based on these results to make preposition to the management that could serve as guidelines to improve the employee satisfaction.
It was shown that the employees of the selected public administration body have an opinion that work flexibility has a positive effect on their level of job satisfaction. A very important aspect of satisfaction is easier coordination of work and family, since working at home allows most employees to spend more time with their loved ones. This can also be connected to the time savings due to the absence of commuting. The worst issue of working at home for employees is the lack of personal contact with colleagues. Employees showed the greatest preference for the hybrid work, as the majority of employees want to work at the company's headquarters with the possibility of occasional work from home.
