The thesis deals with the field of music, specifically sheet music, encompass-
ing the ways musicians notate musical compositions, aiming for archiving
and sharing musical scores with fellow musicians. The thesis describes the
development of a web application for version control of various music scores.
Within this context, it first introduces the spectrum of musical notations and
how they can be obtained in a standardized format. For the proper function-
ing, the application requires a file system for storing scores, a version tracking
and comparison system, a user-friendly interface, user registration and login,
and a database. Based on these functional requirements, a design for the
version control application of music scores was created. This was followed by
implementation, resulting in a functioning web application. The developed
application is easy to use, allowing all registered users to edit and improve
musical scores, thereby supporting collaborative community engagement.
