The purpose of the thesis was to set up a website for nutritional counselling with the aim of spreading the visibility of the nutrition consultant and her services, and raising awareness among website visitors about the importance of healthy and high-quality eating as part of health prevention.
First, we defined the consultant and her target group to implement the layout of the website for nutritional counselling. When planning the content, we relied on the consultant's goals and the needs of the target group of users. We have prepared our own image content, edited the photos with Adobe Photoshop and videos with DaVinci Resolve 18. We started the technical planning with the information architecture in Adobe Illustrator, where we also set up the wireframes. We continued the planning with the selection and justification of the design elements of colors and typography. Before setting up the website, we selected the appropriate hosting provider and domain. We set up the website in the WordPress environment and also used the H5P plugin to build interactive elements and other plugins. We tested the website prototype using a questionnaire method with a group of 20 users who corresponded to the target group.
The results showed a good user experience rating. The purpose and message of the website were clear to the respondents, the information that a potential customer would be looking for was accessible, and the services were presented clearly and comprehensibly. When evaluating the usability (comprehensibility, logic, expected element positions and navigation), we achieved an average score of 4.5 out of 5. As part of the evaluation of the website's visual image, the average score in all categories (aesthetics, transparency, colors, font) was 4.5 out of 5. We found the website to be well-designed, presented, useful and interesting for respondents; however, we identified opportunities for improvement in terms of free content to engage website users. Therefore, considering the test results, we optimized the website with additional interesting content, an additional offer and additional contact information.
