Additive technologies offer many advantages over other processing methods. They enable the production of products with complex shapes and relatively high productivity and precision. The main advantage of additive technologies is greater material utilization. In our thesis, we investigate wire arc additive manufacturing using TIG process with the use of cold and hot wire AISI 304 on S235 substrate. We have studied the welding parameters, which have the most effect on product quality. We researched the influence of individual parameters and their correlation to produce the most quality product. We have focused on the difference between the strength of welding current and the current of the hot wire. We have developed technological parameters and special adjustments on the welding current source which enable successfully wire arc additive manufacturing using TIG process with hot and cold wire. Separate adjustment of the heat input and material deposition rate allows the wire arc additive manufacturing to have more precise control.
