In this master thesis we define the process of sustainable transformation in Slovenian companies. We determine characteristics, approaches and problems and look for all types of data that paint a picture of the current sustainable environment for companies. Based on already published works, the master thesis redefines what a truly sustainable company is, how it works, who is involved in it and what are the implications of its sustainable role outside the framework of standard operations. As part of the deduction process, we defined new standards for sustainable corporate operations and conducted an analysis based on a quota sample of randomly selected companies. The majority of the analysis was conducted using qualitative methods such as surveys, interviews, and an elaborate coding system to identify all the characteristics of an individual company in the context of sustainable operations. The compilation of this data provided us with a more comprehensive picture of impact and showed that truly sustainable companies are having positive impacts on the environment and society both indirectly and directly after and during the transformation, and are also operating successfully at this level.
