The thesis deals with the return migrations of emigrants and the migrations of descendants of emigrants who immigrate to the country of their origin or the country of origin of their ancestors. In the empirical part, using the semi-structured interview method, we researched this using the example of Slovenian emigrants and descendants of Slovenian emigrants in Argentina who immigrated to Slovenia. Their migrations took place mainly from 1991 onward, and they were mostly related to economic reasons. In Slovenia, they establish a specific community and maintain transnational connections with Argentina. A significant proportion of the descendants of Slovenian immigrants from Argentina describe their ethnic identity as dual.
