Abstract
V okviru naloge smo raziskali možnosti za upravljanje različnih arhitektur laserskih sistemov. Osredotočili smo se na upravljanje enostavnejšega vlakenskega MOPA laserja in klasičnega trdninskega laserja. Pri obeh laserskih sistemih je upravljanje izvedeno s pomočjo modulov, ki sestavljajo krmilno verigo. Zasnovali smo jo na osnovi mikrokrmilnika Arduino Due ter na osnovi mini osebnega računalnika Raspberry Pi. Mikrokrmilnik je na eni strani povezan z Raspberry Pi-jem, na drugi pa s krmilnim modulom. Krmilni modul je naprej povezan z laserjem. Komunikacija med posameznimi moduli v krmilni verigi poteka po serijskih komunikacijskih protokolih UART in SPI. Krmiljenje izvajamo s pomočjo spisanega uporabniškega vmesnika, s katerim upravljamo preko zaslona na dotik, ki je povezan z Raspberry Pi-jem in je skupaj z mikrokrmilnikom ter Raspberry Pi-jem montiran v posebej namensko kompaktno ohišje. Z raziskanim kompaktnim in enostavnim nadzornim sistemom lahko upravljamo klasični trdninski laser v celoti, v pomoč pa nam lahko pride tudi pri upravljanju vlakenskega MOPA laserja. Ker je slednji laserski sistem bolj kompleksen, za delovanje potrebuje več krmilnih modulov. Z raziskanim sistemom za upravljanje laserja lahko nadziramo največ en krmilni modul hkrati.

Title:Compact and simple laser control system
Abstract:
In the context of this thesis, options of controlling different laser architectures were researched. The main focus was on controlling a simple MOPA fibre laser and a solid-state laser. Both laser systems are controlled using modules which make up the controlling chain. It has been designed based on the Arduino Due microcontroller and Raspberry Pi mini personal computer. The microcontroller is connected to Raspberry Pi and to the control module. The control module is connected to the laser. Communication between modules is carried out by UART and SPI serial communication protocols. The laser system is controlled via user interface, which can be accessed through a touchscreen display. The microcontroller, Raspberry Pi and touchscreen are all mounted in a compact housing. Solid-state laser can be fully controlled with the compact and simple laser control system, at the same time the system can also provide control over the MOPA fibre laser. The MOPA fibre laser is quite complex, as a result it needs several control modules to operate. The researched control system is only able to control one control module.
