The history of the LGBTQIA+ community is a rich and complex tapestry of victories and struggles, persecution and perseverance. From the Stonewall Riots in 1969 to the legalisation of same-sex marriage in the US in 2015, the LGBTQIA+ community has faced many challenges and made significant strides towards equality and acceptance. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the most important events in the history of the LGBTQIA+ community and to draw them in a comic book style. By using the visual language of comics to tell these stories, this study aims to offer a unique perspective on the LGBTQIA+ experience and provide a fresh, accessible way for readers to engage with this important history. Through a combination of historical research and creative expression, this thesis will offer a compelling and engaging look at the struggles and triumphs of the LGBTQIA+ community and the ongoing fight for equality and acceptance.
