In my diploma thesis, I analyzed the lighting environment in the office premises of the business building of the company Alva d.o.o. in the approximate size of 500 m2 . I performed the analyzes using the Rhinoceros program and the ClimateStudio software plug-in. I performed three analyzes in the program Based on the obtained results I made comparisons with the values specified in the regulations and standards. I checked whether the target value of the daylight factor, which is determined for the performance of individual work tasks, is achieved in the room, how much compliance there is with the SIST EN 17037 standard in specific workplace areas, and what the values of usable daylight are. At the same time as analyzing the lighting of the room, I also performed an analysis of the possibility of glare. Based on the results, I concluded that from the point of view of glare, the workplaces next to the window are the most critical. Disturbing glare can be reduced to a certain extent by using the appropriate type of glazing, which I have shown by comparing two-layer and three-layer glazing types. Based on the obtained results, I recommended specific changes already in the existing blueprints that aimed of improving the daylight illumination of the considered office environment. I envisioned installing a roof dome inside the room, which would improve the illumination of the interior of the room. In the southern part of the room, I proposed the implementation of fixed sun breakers, which reduced the number of hours with unbearable glare by 50% compared to the proportion of hours with the same type of glazing without sun breakers.
