The thesis presents the characteristics of the transport process of dangerous goods in the company DSV Transport Ltd. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part the theory is presented, which includes all the regulations and requirements that must be met for the transport of dangerous goods. I have described and presented the legislation that specifies the conditions for the shipment and packaging of dangerous goods. Furthermore, I focused on the classification of ADR classes, as well as the conditions for storage, transport, and use of appropriate ADR packaging and its labeling. I have also presented the mandatory equipment for the vehicles and the crew, as well as the mandatory documentation for the organisation of the transport. The first part of the thesis also includes chapters describing the exceptions to the transport of dangerous goods and the technical stages of organising transport. The second part of the thesis presents the practical implementation of transport based on the information received from the company. In this section, I have described the whole process of dangerous goods transport as accurately as possible, from the initial transport request to the final delivery. I have listed the responsibilities of all those involved in the transport process and attempted to highlight the importance of each role. In the conclusion of the thesis, I have summarised key data from the theory and the practical example, and concluded that information about the quantity and type of dangerous goods is crucial for preventing accidents during transport, as it is one of the prerequisites for carrying out the transport of dangerous goods. This data is crucial so that the company's staff can organise the transport with the appropriate vehicle and so that those involved in the transport process know how to handle accidents or any other unfortunate events. Additionally, based on the practical example, I have found that the company DSV adheres to the guidelines and follows all the prescribed rules and regulations of the Transport of Dangerous Goods Act and the ADR Agreement. In order to make the transport of dangerous goods possible at all, the company has qualified employees who know how to organise the transport of dangerous goods (commercial service and dispatchers), who know how to handle dangerous goods and who know what to do in case of an accident (warehouse personnel). When transporting dangerous goods, the company does not start organising the transport until it has received all the relevant information and documentation from the customer. Once everything necessary is received and the goods are delivered to their warehouse, they first verify the accuracy of the documentation and the integrity of the packaging before forwarding the goods to the end customer. They choose a transport company with which they have had good experience and which is reliable for the transport.
