In the present era, the growth and complexity of information services has increased dramatically, with the consequent expansion of computing and telecommunications resources and data centres. With the emergence of more powerful devices and the growth of information services, the need for more effective management and control of information resources has also increased. In today's era of rapid development of information technologies, content-oriented and transparent technical and technological infrastructure documentation greatly facilitates its management and control, and is also of great help in planning the expansion of information resources and controlling the financial sustainability of the overall ITK infrastructure. It provides data centre administrators with central access to all data sources and their interconnections. The thesis will present a comparative analysis of two different technological solutions offering a wide range of different functions and processes for documenting information resources. The analysis will present the impact of the observed IT solutions on the planning, management and financial resources of the organisation and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each product.
