In this final thesis I tried to find out how the elements of current modernity – loss of security and insecurity, disintegration of the social network, detachment from space, individualization and fluidity of identity, impact on people's mental health and how these elements are manifested in life circumstances, an ever-increasing choice of options, in the feelings of guilt and in the role of mental help. The interviewed experts state that they do not take in to account their client’s life circumstances, and they do not directly affect their treatment. A greater choice of options in the era of current modernity does not affect the choice and constant search for the "right" help, according to the experts. Individuals are willing to help themselves. The experts could not answer me completely whether individuals blame themselves or society for their problems, but by comparing primary and secondary sources, I concluded that individuals are more prone to blame themselves, due to the increase in anxiety and depression in recent years. The experts believe that the importance of the role of mental help has always been important and that they do not perceive it to be growing. It turned out that some current characteristics of liquid modernity professionals in the field of their work do not detect.
