This discussion points to the connection between modern Slovene drama and the Eastern philosophy. It analyses The Tibetan Book of the Dead, a drama by Ivo Svetina, and Jagababa, the last work of Dane Zajc, drawing attention to their connection with the Tibetan holy book of life and death - Bardo Thodol. Particular attention is paid to the "After-Death" (Sidpa bardo), the intermediate state between death and the next rebirth, which reveals man's positive and negative karma.
