The creation of a high-quality logo and corporate identity is one of the most important elements with which the company presents itself on the market. The logo must be unique, as this is the only way to stand out from competing companies. A well-designed logo contributes to better and easier recognition in the market.
The aim of the thesis was to design a corporate identity for a virtual café to be located in the centre of Ljubljana. After analysing the market for cafés and restaurants in Ljubljana, a suitable logo for a modern café was designed.
After the market analysis, a corporate identity was designed. The colour palette, fonts, different versions of the logo, etc. had to be decided. A short survey was created and distributed to randomly selected people who had no experience with logo design. The responses of the respondents facilitated the decision on the most appropriate corporate identity for the café. The desire was to create a corporate identity that was simple and memorable and at the same time looked modern.
Good preparation and research were key to creating a functional logo that we later integrated into various printed materials (e.g. business cards or menus), digital content (e.g. posts on social media) and promotional materials (e.g. T-shirts).
The aim of the thesis was to learn about the whole process of creating a corporate identity for a new company, from the idea to the finished product. It was also about designing a high-quality logo that could be easily integrated into different products. To create clear specifications for the design guidelines, because this is the only way the company/café remains recognisable by the design style itself.
