The thesis focuses on costing and norming in manufacturing. Production professionals need to make accurate calculations of the project's selling price and establish the project's installation time norms in order to realise the company's business plans and compete in the market. In this thesis, we focus on a real-world problem in a company where the current model for calculating the price of field assembly is poorly defined. We have developed a new costing model and updated the status of norms. The objective of the assignment is to develop a costing model for the price of field installation, which will include all costs incurred during installation. We also want to update the status of the norms for more accurate determination of the assembly line time. The theoretical foundations of calculus, norming and problem solving are presented in detail. As a result of the thesis, a new model for calculating the cost of on-site installation and updated norms have been developed.
